Demographics: Singapore is a young vibrant country. It is also home to world-class top-ranking universities. In a very short span of time Singapore has achieved a reputation of highly advanced in infrastructure and technological knowhow. It is also among world’s most affordable study destinations. The courses offered here are world class and are recognized globally. The job options during the work and post completion of the courses are tremendous. Singapore is also known as “little red dot city”. It has a diverse culture. While the natives are Chinese, Malay, Eurasian and Indians are present in significant proportions.

Courses offered: Singapore attracts students for its Management programs. It also offers very modern and advanced Engineering courses. How English Language Is Important:Unlike other countries most of the Singaporean universities do not make it mandatory to take IELTS/TOEFEL/PTE exams. It does not mean that English is not required but it means that rules are little relaxed. The rules though are different from university to university and course to course. One has to confirm from the counsellor so as to what is not required.

Work permit: One has the option of working during their course to support themselves. They can also stay after the course is completed to work. T&C*

Student visa: : All the students should have a Singaporean visa beforehand. This is called student pass. They should have all the documents including bank statement which shows that the have enough money to support their stay in Singapore.

Scholarships:

There are many scholarships available for international students on undergraduate and postgraduate level.

  1. Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA): This is funded by Singapore Government for international students interested in Post –Graduate degree in science and engineering doctorate programs.
  2. NTU Fully Funded Nan yang Undergraduate Scholarships: students who wish to pursue courses offered by Nan yang Technological University (NTU) are eligible for this award.
  3. ADB-Japan Scholarship Program for Developing Countries in Asia and the Pacific: The Asian Development Bank and the Japanese Government through ABD-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP), provide scholarship programs for graduate and post graduate students.

There are many more scholarship programs to help students to complete their studies without obstacles.

Accommodation:

International students have multiple options depending upon their budget in choosing accommodation. They can live off or on campus. Private hostels are also available. The cost depends on the location one chooses. It helps to plan for accommodation before arriving,
