Demographics: The U.S. is the dream destination for students aspiring to study abroad. The U.S. is a technically advanced country. It’s a country of unlimited resources. How the English Language Is Important:As in any other English speaking countryhere too one should have a good TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or PTE (Pearson Test Of English) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score. For management programs, the students are also required to take certain other tests such as GRE, GMAT, etc.
Work Permit: Students who are interested in working can opt for Optional Practical Training (OPT) which is a one year work and stay back permit. This work permit is of two types i.e. one is pre-completion (OPT) which can be used while one is doing the course and the other is post-completion (OPT) which can be utilized after one has completed the course. If a student has an F1 visa he or she can work up to one year temporarily in an area in which he is doing his majors. Otherwise, a student can do odd jobs such as working in cafes, working as a babysitter, working as teaching assistance, tour guide, library monitor and many more for a little extra cash.
Student visa: The students should be careful in the documentation process while applying for a US visa as their laws are very stringent. Even if you get admission in a topmost college, further admission process still depends on the visa process. There are 3 types of visa: F1 student visa, J1 Exchange Visitor Visa and M1 Vocational/Non-Academic student visa. Studying in the U.S. is a little expensive. This is where scholarships come to the rescue. Scholarships are given in the form of a fee waiver. Getting these scholarships are in itself a task but it is not impossible for meritorious students. There are scholarships based on achievements in extracurricular activities. Some scholarships are:
